The Man behind the unique sculpture creations.

Paul currently lives in the Eastern Counties of the UK and resides in the local historical village of Glinton, near Peterborough. Paul has lived in the Eastern Counties area all his life attending local schools and the Peterborough City College which is where his love for working with metal first started.

Paul’s love of metal as a medium to work with has been with him throughout his life and career. It started initially at school during metalwork studies where his interest in different forms, materials, shapes and ideas attracted his attention. This interest stayed with him through his college training years before graduating to become a fully qualified engineering fabricator, something he has now been involved with for a number of years.

Paul describes the inspiration and construction of his sculptures in his own words.

I enjoy creating pieces in my workshop for family, friends and private commissions. I class myself, as many others do, as a self-taught sculptor. Seeing the creation in my mind before it is made gives me all the drive and enthusiasm I need.

About 3 years ago I started to incorporate old tools and scrap metal into my work, the variety of shapes and colours captures my imagination taking my work from utilitarian to decorative.

I built my first guitar sculpture for my son who is an avid guitarist. I enjoyed the process and decided to create a range of guitars each one unique.

I was then lucky enough to do a commission incorporating items personal to the client, I really enjoyed the challenge of creating a totally unique piece that had that personal touch and look forward to the new and exciting commissions currently being reviewed by clients.

My most recent piece was a commission to produce something completely different made from parts of the products they produce, commemorating “150 years” of engineering for a worldwide exporter of Steam Turbines.
